Big Plays Lead Oklahoma Past Cyclones, 52-16

15th ranked Oklahoma continues to roll in the Big 12.

ISU ranks seventh in the Big 12 in total offense (422.9 ypg), passing offense (236.6) and rushing offense (186.2). He’s also added 4 TDs on the ground.

ISU running back Mike Warren finished with 43 yards, leaving him just three yards short of a 1,000-yard season. The Sooners outgained the Cyclones on the ground, 510 yards to 87. Mayfield has completed 70 percent of his passes this year for 2,470 yards with 25 TDs and 4 INTs. Bell caught two TD passes.

At Kansas on Saturday, OU did not punt for the first time in the Stoops era. The Sooners have gone 27 straight possessions without punting, going back to the opening drive of its previous game, a 63-27 win over Texas Tech.

And this just in: Next up is a team coming off Saturday’s impressive 49-29 upset of TCU. The defense is giving up 18.4 points and 321.4 yards per game. Can the Sooners start quickly on defense and play with an edge against an opponent they should easily beat?

Prior to this decade, OU had never lost to Baylor, but the Bears have won three of the last four games in the series.
