Trump stumped by poll slump ahead of tonight’s debate
Wednesday night’s Republican presidential debate, hosted by CNBC, is the first encounter during which Donald Trump is seeing his front-runner status seriously challenged, as Ben Carson is now on top in four polls of Iowa Republican primary voters, as well as in a national survey published on Tuesday by CBS News and The New York Times. “That’s not Donald Trump”. “Anybody who tells me that we need every penny in every one of those is in a fantasy world”. When asked about his stance on abortion, Carson recently told NBC’s Meet The Press, “If people can come up with a reasonable explanation for why they would like to kill a baby, I’ll listen”. You know, we’re gradually just removing all the barriers to hedonistic activity and you know, it’s just, we’re changing so rapidly to a different type of society and nobody is getting a chance to discuss it because, you know, it’s taboo. I think boring is good in a presidency. Carson said, adding later, “It’s going to be hard to have more scrutiny than I’ve had the past several months”.
During rallies in Florida over the weekend and in New Hampshire on Monday, Trump referred to reporters as scum and liars who were out to get his campaign.
“I feel kind of sorry for them”, he said.
“Jeb is running a big, robust campaign built to go the long haul with more depth in March primary states than other campaigns”, Politico quoted Barbour as saying.
Texan Ted Cruz, the US senator, acknowledged the votes in Colorado and Washington state. You don’t have to put on makeup, look how handsome everyone looks”, the questioning “Wouldn’t it be easier? Rubio also claimed the most spikes and the highest peak in search traffic during the entirety of the debate – with the greatest interest following his closing remarks.
“He needs to be very strong in the debate to send the message that his campaign is not collapsing”, Herstam said. The former Florida governor is the son and brother of presidents.
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said in 2014: “I’m against legalizing marijuana for recreational purposes”.
A few experts expect other candidates to take shots at Rubio in the third debate, testing his resolve not to engage in stage fights with other candidates, and instead display his academic knowledge of such things as foreign policy and immigration. Nor is he happy with his poll numbers in Iowa, which he seems to think aren’t being accurately reported by CNBC. So I’m not putting my name behind any of this, but I am sharing with you what is out there, and if you spend as much time on the Web as I do, you’d run into it yourself, too.
Trump also touted his Christian faith, just days after taking a swipe at Carson’s religious denomination, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
