Candice Swanepoel battling flu ahead of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Hard at work! Gigi Hadid announced on October 29 that she’ll be walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this year, which tapes on November 10 in NYC. The idea of literally strutting your stuff in lingerie for a room full of powerful strangers that you might never see again because, out of 500 models, there’s only room for 47 on the show (and no one likes those odds) is completely foreign to me.
With numerous controversies surrounding the show – such as forced get together with actors for publicity and budget cuts rumors – the company has lost a number of angels through the years. Ten new rookies were appointed Angel status earlier this year, giving VS the largest group of contract models in its history.
The ladies who join these familiar faces at the higher end of the brand’s career ladder include, Elsa Hosk, Sara Sampaio, Martha Hunt, Stella Maxwell, Taylor Hill, Lais Ribeiro,Jac Jagaciak, Romee Strijd, Jasmine Tookes and Kate Grigorieva.
Kendall’s BFF Gigi Hadid also makes her VS fashion show debut this year as well as several other newbies joining the angel clan in the spotlight.
However, after Jourdan Dunn confirmed her exit from the show with a rather bitter tweet, which has been deleted, people are asking, is all what it seems?
However, Lindsay Ellingson, Karlie Kloss and Doutzen Kroes will be missed by the audience.
The lovely Lily Aldridge is set to stun in the Fireworks Fantasy Bra, worth US$2 million (approximately £1.3 million). As previously reported by Latin Post, being a part of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is a dream come true for the 20-year-old model.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air on December 8 at 10pm on CBS. At 10 p.m. VS will offer plenty of on-stage and behind-the-scenes snaps on social media.
Selena Gomez, The Weeknd, Last Tuesday and Ellie Goulding have also bagged the honor of performing on the show.
