Pamela Anderson Reveals She’s Cured of Hepatitis C

Now, however, Anderson, 48, has found a new reason to celebrate her life after finally being cured thanks to what she describes as a new “miracle” drug.

The Baywatch alum shared the news on Instagram, where she celebrated by sharing a naked picture of herself. It is going to be more accessible soon. “I know treatment is not easy to get still…”

Anderson said she hadn’t sustained any liver damage or side effects.

The mother-of-two revealed in 2002 that she had contracted Hep C by sharing a tattoo needle with ex-husband Tommy Lee.

“I am CURED!!!” Pamela wrote alongside the photo, which depicted her completely nude and looking absolutely handsome.

“16 years ago that was (presented to me) as a death sentence”.

Anderson has been vocal about her disease and its treatment, and even told People.com earlier this year that a new drug regimen could have her Hep C-free within a few months.

The new medications that are used to cure Hepatitis C are very expensive and are usually not covered by insurance.

“I’m really excited” said the actress ‘I feel good. Before trying this new treatment plan, Anderson had experimented with other alternative medicines.

As usual, the former Baywatch star got everyone’s attention.

There are 2.7 million people in the USA living with chronic hepatitis C infection, though most of these people are unaware they have the disease due to lack of symptoms, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
