Reggie Bush to Sue Rams’ Stadium After Season-Ending Injury
Reggie Bush plans to hit back over the season-ending injury he suffered last week at St. Louis’ Edward Jones Dome.
Bush hired Shawn Holley and KWIKA law firm in the suit.
Bush’s lawsuit will suggest the city of St. Louis, through its Sports Authority and Convention Bureau, was negligent in having the slippery and hard surface close to the field of play. Bush was chased out of bounds by Rams defenders and sprinted through the crowd of people on the sidelines as he tried to safely come to a stop.
The 49ers, with Carlos Hyde out before the Bush injury, signed Pierre Thomas during the week to fill the vacant starting running back role. KMOV reports he was carted off with a torn MCL and got surgery, ending his season and possibly his career.
Holley is known for being part of O.J. Simpson’s legal team and has represented celebrity clients, including Lindsay Lohan.
Bush’s accident followed a similar one the week before, when Cleveland quarterback Josh McCown skidded into a wall, injuring his shoulder.
The Rams have “informed the National Football League and the city of St. Louis they want changes made to the concrete area behind the benches before their next home game”, according to FOX Sports.
In five games this season, Bush carried the ball eight times for 28 yards and returned two punts for nine yards.
