HTC One X9 leaks with specs to make A9 look old already
HTC CEO Peter Chou presents the new HTC First phone during an event at Facebook headquarters during an event at Facebook headquarters on April 4, 2013 in Menlo Park, California. GSM Arena reports that the rumored device called One X9 packs features that recalls a powerhouse smartphone.
The HTC One A9 is barely out in shops and already the next generation appears to be on its way. It remains to be seen.
Aside from that, another intriguing feature could come in the form of the display screen which will allegedly be a 5-inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixel) display. “It is a device built around a display of 5” resolution QHD (2560x1440pixels) Snapdragon 820 or MediaTek Helio X20 (in a few markets) processors, 4 GB RAM, 23 and 4 megapixel (Ultrapixel front camera) and options for 64 or 128 GB internal storage. This could be a fan render-from someone who has high hopes for HTC. However, the news about the HTC One X9 indicates that the company may be readying a new breed of flagship smartphones, Android Authority reported. So far, however, HTC has only launched a handful of new devices and none of them have been aimed at the high-end flagship sector.
The promo tagline reads, “Packed with city smarts”, which could mean that it’ll have a fingerprint sensor and NFC tech to support mobile payments.
According to a report from Android Police, while HTC initially allowed pre-orders for the various colors of the HTC One A9, the clients have been informed that shipping schedules will vary according to color and network. Moreover, it has been deduced that the smartphone will be introduced with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box, seeing the fact that the One A9 also debuted the same way.
