Microsoft buys field-service management vendor FieldOne
Members of the Microsoft Dynamics Inner Circle have performed to the highest standards of excellence by delivering valuable solutions based on Microsoft technology that help customers meet their business challenges.
Microsoft has just taken a step in furthering their Dynamics CRM services. Bob Stutz, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Dynamics CRM said in a blog post “I’m pleased to announce that Microsoft has reached an agreement to acquire FieldOne Systems LLC (“FieldOne”), a world-class provider of field service management solutions that allow organizations to better manage and deliver service to their customers in the field”. Dynamics ERP includes solutions for your business such as managing financials, supply chain, operations, and human resources. He said mobile customer service technology is “one of the key areas that will drive the growth of Dynamics CRM”, which has seen consistent double-digit growth in its cloud services business. This is a unique, and transformational point in time for these solutions as enterprises look to improve their responsiveness to customers with service in the field – taking service directly to the customer anytime a service can not be managed by phone or other channels. FieldOne offers work order management, asset contact, automated scheduling, workflow capabilities, and other services. Microsoft names companies to its Inner Circle based on a matrix of performance, industry knowledge, and customer satisfaction. The core FieldOne platform was built on top of the Microsoft Dynamics xRM Framework, enabling it to work easily with Dynamics CRM, Outlook, Office 365, Azure, Skype and Yammer.
“We are really looking at providing an end-to-end enterprise solution to our customers”, said Param Kahlon, partner group program manager for the Dynamics business, in an interview about the FieldOne deal. Satisfied customers can translate into lifelong customers.
