Amy Schumer opened the 25th anniversary show after being introduced as her “favorite trainwreck” by Glamour’s editor in chief Cindi Leive. This year, the 33-year-old made history when she became the first African American principal dancer. “They are a big, money-making commodity”.

Amy Schumer opted for a short red dress with coordinating red cage sandals. “It was hurtful. So I sat each one of them down, and I said, ‘This is my story, this is who I am, what can I do?'” Once again, the crowd erupted in cheers for the world’s favorite comedienne of the moment. She also learned that for women, being ambitious is often seen as something inherently negative. The rest of the attendees followed suit.
