Falls to glow green for Vets

“Greenlight A Vet is a campaign to establish visible national support for our veterans by changing one light to green”.

While there’s still no conclusion regarding the cross and start debate, the council voted unanimously to light up the star green to honor veterans. Just keep it glowing every day this week as a symbol of appreciation and support for our veterans.

The Arkansas Secretary of State’s Office has an active military outreach program assisting military personnel and veterans in the areas of voter registration, voting, business, and assisting with special military ceremonies at the Capitol.

Visit the Town Hall on Wednesday, November 11 to see the green lights that the Town of Newton will light to show their support for veterans around the world.

Walmart celebrated it’s 100,000 veteran hire this past month. Volunteer and serve with veterans groups in your local community. Raise awareness on social media. It works by simply replacing the light bulbs on your porch – or in a lamp near a window – with green bulbs.
