Season 2 of ‘Transparent’ features impressive guest stars: Anjelica Huston and
Anjelica Huston (Medium) and Cherry Jones (24) are the latest to sign on as guest stars for the second season of Amazon’s dark comedyTransparent, premiering December 11 exclusively on Prime Video in the U.S. UK, Germany and Austria.
Amazon has released the first teaser for Season 2 of its Emmy-winning series Transparent, and announced a few heavy-hitting guest stars to boot. Former West Wing star Bradley Whitford will also reprise his Emmy-winning roll.
The season kicks off with Sarah (Amy Landecker) and Tammy’s (Melora Hardin) wedding – but surprise, surprise, their honeymoon period is short-lived. Josh and Rabbi Raquel navigate their new relationship, and the complexity of being an instant family for Josh’s recently returned son, Colton. And Ali (Gaby Hoffmann) reconnects with Syd (Carrie Brownstein), as well as a new feminist mentor.
The Pfeffermans are back and and it’s about to get messy.
Transparent creator Jill Soloway sure knows how to keep her fans hanging.
The merriment is interrupted, though, when the photographer tries to give direction to Jeffrey Tambor, who plays transgender woman Maura Pfefferman.
Since turning heads and raising eyebrows upon its premiere on the streaming service, Amazon’s Transparent series has went from strength to strength, and it’s a testimony to the company’s confidence in the show that it’s already slated for season 3.
