Next Halo 5 Major Update Brings Back Big Team Battle
Developers at 343 Industries have publicized via their own blog site that support for Big Team Battle will be coming the first-person shooter game with the next update.
The newest update to Halo 5: Guardians is coming this week, and it is expected to bring the long awaited multiplayer game mode Big Team Battle.
Accompanied by all the new features, such as being revived by teammates and drop in drop out campaign, you have yourself a new campaign experience like no other.
Although the maps were designed by a few of the top Forgers in the community, it was still people in 343 Industries who worked and polished the maps, adding content and development to it while the Forgers provided necessary feedback and suggestions.
Guardians’ multiplayer component launched several different modes, including the classic Slayer and the new paintball-esque Breakout, but there was one noticeable omission from the bunch: Big Team Battle, a huge take on Slayer featuring vehicles and a heavy emphasis on teamwork. They have helped forge the large-scale Big Team Battle maps with inspiration from iconic battlegrounds of the “Halo” series including Sidewinder or Avalanche, Standoff, Burial Mounds, Longbow, and Headlong. This distinction is important, as the game previously emphasized vehicular combat in the new “Warzone” mode and left traditional gunplay to the Arena.
“Halo 5: Guardians” will be getting Big Team Battle to Arena next week, as posted on Halo Waypoint by Halo community manager Andy Dudynsky.
Players have also found out that “Halo 5: Guardians” is much harder than past versions of “Halo” games.
A press release today revealed that Havok technology is used extensively in Halo 5: Guardians; specifically, the AI, Physics and Script modules of Havok are featured.
It is clear from the huge changes in the campaign that 343 Industries really were pulling out all the stops on how this story was told, as well as played.
