Get Ready To Snack: McDonald’s Is Bringing Mozzarella Sticks Coast-To-Coast
A McDonald’s restaurant is seen July 23, 2012 in Miami, Florida. And so, mozzarella sticks will be available nationwide in 2016.
According to Buzzfeed, McDonald’s announced the news to investors on Tuesday, which I imagine went over with loud cheering and perhaps happy tears, as fried cheese is known to illicit that reaction.
McDonald’s is rolling out mozzarella sticks at its restaurants nationwide next year.
The mozzarella sticks will be added to McDonald’s new dollar menu – meaning you will get three sticks of fried, cheesy goodness for the same price as a candy bar.
Evidently, the launch of Mozzarella cheese sticks is one of McDonald’s ideas to offer new meals to their “national menu items from regional franchisees, and even global markets”.
Furthermore, this move by McDonald’s is part of the plan to change the course of the fast-food chain into a “modern, progressive” company. McDonald’s is also experimenting with other popular food items like sweet potato fries, trying them out in restaurants in Amarillo, Texas.
All Day Breakfast, launched in October, has boosted sales in the fourth quarter, but Easterbrook warned investors not to “read too much into that”. Mc Donald also announced their plan to increase their $10 billion debt up to $30 billion to fund the cash return to its shareholders.
