Nine die in OH plane crash
Cameras at J. Bowers Construction in Akron captured the plane falling out of the sky and colliding with the apartment building.
Authorities Tuesday evening said no one on the plane survived, but they would not yet confirm the number of people on board or dead.
The plane, a twin-engine business jet, was on approach to the airport in the OH city when it crashed, reports said. The team specializes in crime scene and airplane crash recoveries of human remains.
Bill Haymaker said that ‘due to the strength of the fire, ‘ it would be a few time before it could be decided how many people were aboard the Hawker H25.
A resident of the neighborhood where the jet went down told the local Fox affiliate electricity went out at almost the same time as the crash, with subsequent explosions heard after the initial impact.
But its CEO, Danny Lewkowicz, told both WOIO and CNN affiliate WEWS that nine people were on the plane, including a pilot and co-pilot.
The jet, which took off from Dayton, had planned to land at Akron Fulton global Airport, about 2 miles from where it crashed.
But the National Transportation Safety Board, the Federal Aviation Administration and the Summit County Medical Examiner will try to piece together the final moments of the flight. “Then the aircraft hit half of an apartment building, destroying it before running up an embankment behind the building and coming to rest”, Dinh-Zarr said.

Investigators would not speculate on a cause, but said they’re looking into flight control, engines, records, weather, air traffic control and operations.
“Outside of a controlled runway landing, getting a plane down safely in an emergency would have been a very tough task”, Vagell said. Investigators don’t know yet if that contributed to the crash.
The aircraft crashed into a structure on Mogadore Road, according to ABC’s Cleveland affiliate WEWS-TV, roughly one mile from the airport.
