President Obama joins Facebook
Although he’s now 85 percent of the way through his presidency, President Barack Obama launched the commander-in-chief’s official Facebook page Monday. He probably joined Facebook in addition to Twitter because Facebook continues to be the most used of any social media site.
Writing on his wall the US President, 54, said: “Hello, Facebook!“. O’Rourke shared that Obama is the president who sent a personal letter of encouragement to his son.
United States President Barack Obama wants you to like him.
According to CNN, on joining Facebook, Obama said he wanted his account to be “a place where we can have real conversations”, diving right in with his first post on climate change. Watch and share the video, then “like” the President’s page on Facebook.
On Monday, the president created his very own Facebook page, just six months after setting up his own personal Twitter account.
“I say this often, but that’s because it’s always at the front of my mind: We’ve got to preserve this handsome planet”, he continued.
The President seems to get more active on social media since the second term of his tenure reaches end.
Striking a conversational tone, Obama’s first submit was a video message on climate change that depicted the president strolling across the South Lawn of the White House and marvelling at the great thing about nature. A White House spokesman told that the page will be turned over to the next president.
An informal ministerial meeting from November 6-10 was held in Paris to further discuss the path to a final world agreement.
In his first post, Obama uploaded a video of himself, starting out with a friendly, “Hey, everybody”, strolling through his “backyard” where he’s talking about looking at trees, birds, and squirrels. The team filled his Facebook page with various, memorable images like the young Obama in Hawaii and his marriage to his wife Michelle in 2012.
