Mustangs enter NCAA Tourney as top seed
The University of Cincinnati women’s soccer team will visit No. 4 seed Virginia Tech on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Thompson Field in Blacksburg, Virginia, in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Notre Dame’s last appearance in the College Cup came in 2010 when the Irish last won a national championship. The Cardinal host San Jose State at 7 p.m. PT on Friday., November 13.
UNCW and SC have met four times in a series the Gamecocks lead by a 3-0-1 margin. That was good enough to finish third in the conference and earn the Cougars a home game in the tournament.
Santa Clara (13-5-2) is grouped in the same regional as Stanford as well as second-seeded Florida and No. 3 Duke.
