Apple iPad Pro Features, Specs & Release Date
In September, Apple announced a slew of new devices including the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad mini 4, new Apple TV 4, and a brand new 12-inch iPad dubbed iPad Pro. As I mentioned, there’s a 12.9-inch display with a resolution of 2732 x 2048 which is good for 265ppi.
The display is pretty clean as well. As we discovered, there are pros and cons to both.
The fall in sales for the iPad series can be tied to the slower update cycle than any other Apple device, which usually get upgraded every year to eighteen months.
The Apple Pencil is pressure sensitive and allows you to draw and sketch on the tablet just like a real pencil. That’s cool to do from a few respects but the result, I think the overall result, is that it’s not the best tablet and it’s not the best notebook. The review also describes how the Type Cover has been improved, is compatible with earlier models and has a glass trackpad which is now bigger. Because the keyboard case supports the iPad Pro’s smart connector, it’s not only easy to pair up, but the case can also automatically light up when connected, too.
iPad Pro is also compatible with Smart Keyboard, which can act as a stand and a keyboard.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has taken aim at the PC market, specifically the Microsoft Surface Book, as part of its iPad Pro promotion interviews.
According to IT Pro United Kingdom, Apple will most likely launch the iPad Air 3 sometime in 2016, with the possible release window ranging from late summer all the way up to the stretch of time that the company has typically used for their annual conference.
This isn’t the first time an Apple executive has criticized Microsoft’s commitment to the “hybrid” tablet-laptop market. Having laptop-like screen real estate in a tablet form-factor is a nice thing. Especially when paired with a full size keyboard.
To get the Apple Pencil, you will need to pay $99 and the Smart Keyboard is available at $169. And you know what?
Cook is trying to advance Apple’s attack on traditional computing: its iPhones and iPads running the iOS operating system have arguably done more to shift computing from the desktop than any other mobile devices.
