From Romo to Welker, plenty of players to watch in the NFL

The first half of the 2015 season has come and gone and along with it is the hope and aspirations of many fans.

So, yeah, it’s not like they’ve been playing a contender each week… The issues that Bradford faced earlier in the season are quickly becoming non-issues.

Bradford is what he put on tape in St. Louis; a poised passer whose conservativeness can be both a help as well as a hindrance, but overall demonstrates the ability to be an effective distributor who can make any throw, navigate the pocket, process information, and get the ball out quickly.

Cassel’s three losses have come by a total of 14 points, with the offense never getting a chance in overtime in a 33-27 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Consequently, it’s become a waiting game for the Dolphins (3-5) and Eagles (4-4), teams that had playoff expectations at the start of the season but are still determining if they have that so-called “franchise quarterback”. He can’t continue to improve each week.

“He hasn’t been with us for the amount of time that a few of the other guys have”, Kelly said.

Now, Kendricks and Alonso are back, but Ryans remains out.

Only Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis (three picks, three recoveries) has done more damage this year. “I think I just feel better with that each week”. Technically they had no three-and-outs against the Cowboys. “We expect him to be back (Thursday)”. The Giants only have two more games left against sub-.500 teams, and the Eagles have three games remaining against first-place teams. But, as we all know, that didn’t last. The Falcons regained the lead on their very next possession, thanks in large part to a 44-yard catch by Julio Jones on the first play of the drive. Matt Bryant hit a field goal to give the Falcons a 26-24 lead… and win.

“I go way back with Ach”. Eliminate the penalties and they would have had four. The Eagles have a distinct advantage over the rest of the teams in the division due to their defense, but with Sam Bradford at quarterback the offense remains unreliable week to week.

But teammates say they like what they’ve seen from Tannehill and Bradford.

That game stands as the only one of the Cowboys’ six losses that didn’t end as a one-score game.

“I think last week it was the mid-zone plays”. Dallas has two games remaining with the Redskins, but they will have a hard time gaining ground against the Giants or Philadelphia Eagles, against whom the Cowboys have no remaining games. The mood in Philly could’ve potentially be a lot darker this week.

Going forward, the team won’t be able to keep winning like that. “When my feet are bad, and I’m out of rhythm, that’s when you see the underthrows, the overthrows, the throws too early and too late, and things like that”. But there’s a flip side to that coin. But they still struggle against the league’s better wide receivers.

There is, however, something to be said for being well-rounded.
