Mariah Carey is part of the Lego Batman Movie

While Carey was previously tipped to voice the character of Commissioner Gordon, but insiders revealed that she will play a different character but no specifics have been revealed. However, a tweet from THR writer Borys Kit cleared things out. Of course, these Mayors and Mayoral candidates have usually been men, but casting Carey indicates a new way of thinking.
Meanwhile, it was confirmed that Ralph Fiennes will play as Alfred while Batgirl will be taken by Rosario Dawson. Michael Cera will also be joining the cast as Robin and Zach Galifianakis will be Joker.
Chris McKay, the animation supervisor of Lego Movie, is directing the project with a script written by Seth Grahame-Smith.
Dan Lin and Roy Lee are producing the film along with Lego Movie director-screenwriter duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Originally, this will not be the first for Mariah Carey.
Her role in “The Lego Batman Movie” marks the return of this mother of two to the movies since her starrer in Lee Daniel’s “The Butler” in 2013 and her work in “Precious” as Ms. Weiss back in 2009.
The studio and the actress have not given official statements about these reports.
The first The Lego Movie was a huge success and Batman’s character was introduced as a brooding superhero who think that he has all the fighting skills that he need.
