Zelda: Twilight Princess HD arrives on Wii U early next year
Rumors of a spruced-up HD version of GameCube/Wii Zelda adventure Twilight Princess have been bubbling recently, and Nintendo officially confirmed it during this afternoon’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
Light on details on what enhancements we can expect Nintendo did confirm that the game will have Amiibo support and there will also be a special limited collector’s edition that includes a Wolf Link amiibo. With the holidays right around the corner, Nintendo will be showcasing all the yet-to-be-released games including Xenoblades Chronicles X, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, Amiibo Festival, and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon before the end of the year for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
We’re still waiting for the next Legend of Zelda game, but to tide fanboys over until it finally happens, Nintendo just announced the remake of the classic ‘Twilight Princess, ‘ originally released in 2006 on the GameCube and Wii consoles.
The Wolf Link amiibo goes on sale in Japan on March 10. Miyamoto has said that the Pikmin team is working on another installment of the adorable-garden-creatures strategy game, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a Wii U title. The game is very similar to how many mobile phones are designed, and Nintendo has gone to great length to explain this to players.
IGN added that Swedish programmer Markus “Notch” Persson had no plans of bringing Minecraft into Wii U. However, the game always make it to the list of top selling games in the United States since its creation.
A tentative release date is set for 2016. The badges can also be used for a couple of things such as decoration for your Nintendo 3DS home screen and attaching badges on folders.
First up is the new and free Nintendo app for the Nintendo 3DS, the Nintendo Badge Arcade coming on the Nintendo eShop on November 13. Plus, Final Fantasy VII star Cloud Strife is headed Super Smash Bros.in a mashup that should rekindle those mid-’90s feelings of the “my console is better than yours” variety. IGN predicts release dates for either “Bravely Second” or “Fire Emblem Fates” will be announced. In all seriousness, her design is pretty great, and fandom is, so far, more than glad to have her. She joins Toon Link, the King of Hyrule, and Tetra as new additions to the roster of playable characters, when “Hyrule Warriors” Legends hits on March 25th. Ocarina Of Time and Majora’s Mask were each remastered in 3D for the 3DS, and Wind Waker HD was released on the Wii U in 2013.
