Finding Dory trailer premieres, adults get very excited
The trailer didn’t exactly reveal the whole story for “Finding Dory” yet, but they do emphasize Dory’s most lovable aspect, her craziness and forgetfulness.
At the same time, Nemo (Hayden Rolence) and Nemo’s father (Albert Brooks) discover that Dory has a tendency to go sleepwalking – or sleepswimming, as fishes call it.
Finding Dory will appear in theaters in June 2016.
The animated film brings back director Andrew Stanton, although this time around, co-director Angus MacLane joins him to create this much-anticipated Finding Nemo sequel for Disney and Pixar.
Instead of Nemo, the sequel will center on the forgetful fish Dory, voiced by Ellen DeGeneres.
The trailer premiered on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the United States – which is not that surprising considering the chat show host also provides the voice of Dory.
In the upcoming sequel, Dory suddenly recalls her childhood memories.
In the film, Dory’s parents will be reprised by Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy.
The original script for Finding Dory saw the characters in a marine part, but after the release of the controversial documentary Blackfish, production chose to alter the setting to a sea life rehabilitation and aquarium instead. Ed O’Neill and Ty Burrell will be joining the cast as new characters Hank the octopus and Baily the beluga whale. Furthermore, the voices of Idris Elba and Dominic West will also be heard.
Finding Nemo remains one of the company’s best-remembered hits in the new millennium.
