Patrick Beverley arrested on open warrant in Houston
Former Arkansas Razorback and current Houston Rocket Patrick Beverley was arrested on an open warrant Wednesday morning.
Like many of us, Beverly has an EZ Tag, He may not have even realized his account was expired when he went through the EZ Tag-only lane back in February. So when Beverly was pulled over on a traffic stop Wednesday morning, the warrant popped up.
The Rockets say the team considers the matter closed and Beverley was available to face the Nets on Wednesday night.
According to a statement from the Rockets, the issue was over vehicle registration and a toll pass.
Beverley was stopped on a Houston road for operating a motor vehicle on toll road when prohibited, a Class C misdemeanor. He scored three points in 8:53 in his return.
Beverley, who is averaging 6.0 points and 3.8 assists this season, is also now dealing with a concussion suffered last week.
