11 insanely successful philosophy majors show that Marco Rubio was totally wrong
Simply put Marco Rubio took control of the stage multiple times. Sen. Senator, welcome back to the program.
“I don’t know why we have stigmatized vocational education”, he said. Too many students graduate from four-year universities with mountains of students loans weighing them down. But we cannot do this if we are going to compete with the rest of the world.
“I can also tell you that the classified section of today’s paper is conspicuously void of openings for “Experienced Philosophers.’ ‘Experienced Welders” on the other hand, appear to be in high demand everywhere”, he added.
Jody Collier, author of weldingtipsandtricks.com, says, “If you are going to weld pipe for a living, be aware of this plain fact”.
Because Rubio wasn’t just wrong in his first principles: He was wrong on the facts. They would have to meet the criteria of the merit-based system. They would have to wait in line behind everyone who’s applied before them.
“I personally did not handle his American Express card, or anybody else’s”.
RUBIO: Well, a green card – you can’t apply for citizenship. Ultimately he would still allow people here illegally to qualify for citizenship, but only after 15 years. If E-Verify were made universal and mandatory (it’s voluntary now), undocumented workers would be exposed and their employers would be required to fire them.
Sadly, a Republican who likes EDM is not the most ludicrous comment coming out of the GOP in recent weeks.
“I would not raise it”, Dr. Ben Carson agreed. All of my neighbors are immigrants. Ted Cruz of Texas, who accused the media and Washington elites of being disconnected from the economic impact of illegal immigration.
INSKEEP: I think was a question, though…
RUBIO:…So it’s a complex issue.
The tension first began to bubble during the CNBC debate in October when Bush went after Rubio for his lack of experience and for missing votes in the Senate. Philosophy majors generally make a lot more money than welders. If you lower those wages, that comes down. We have to have a process.
RUBIO: Yeah, unfortunately, that’s a part of politics. Of course, we’re prepared for it. It’s unfortunate. “He has a great command of foreign policy and and he has a real vision for the future that I believe will resonate with younger voters who may not have a candidate from either party”, Oddie responded. In the 20th century, it’s a disaster. For example, I bought a house in 2005 in Miami.
When, I’m saying when the two current front-runners are pushed out, it will be Sen. And millions of people were impacted around the country.
“I suppose I could do all that here, but really, what’s the point?”
We became lawyers. Our pay reflected what lawyers, not what philosophers, make. At its best, education makes us (as the term liberal arts implies) free men and women, and better citizens. We were having children. To answer that question, we need to know the value of protecting human life, endangered species, areas of natural beauty, and communities and cultures that are threatened by climate change. But, you know, Marco got his. Then in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “The Lead”, Cruz referred to Rubio as “formidable” among the field’s moderate candidates, a backhanded compliment to Rubio who rose in 2010 with tea party support. And that’s something I feel fully prepared for.
HALL: Alright, Peter. Thank you very much.
After arguing in Tuesday night’s debate that the country needs more welders and less philosophers, the Republican presidential candidate is taking his case to the campaign trail.
