Hillary Clinton Locks Up Big Chunk of Virginia Superdelegates
Bernie Sanders of Vermont, a self-described democratic socialist, and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley. “The people that are there early when you most need them, you’re going to put them on your speed dial”, says Lily Eskelsen Garcia, president of the National Education Association. Businessman Donald Trump infamously asked why anybody would vote for Fiorina based on her looks. They can support the candidate of their choice regardless of the outcome of Indiana’s May 3 primary.
The big lead for Clinton comes as she has a 28-point advantage among women and a 41-point lead among voters over age 45.
Earlier in the day, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) sent three separate emails targeting Rubio, The Hill reports. In other words, Clinton starts with a 15 percentage point head start over Sanders.
However, Sanders’ supporters stand out as particularly engaged with the presidential race. Turner had been among her most enthusiastic cheerleaders in the Buckeye State and nationally. Almost 54 per cent of his supporters said they were paying a lot of attention to his presidential campaign, as compared with just 38 per cent of Clinton’s supporters. “That’s important – New Hampshire is a state where with a heavy independent streak, and undeclared voters can participate in either primary”, Wehrman writes. And her remaining opponents are signaling they’re ready to take the gloves off after months of a mostly cordial campaign. But it would require her opponents to paint a grim picture of a Clinton presidency-one in which she will join coalitions with Republicans to sell out core progressive values, and thus would actually be a relative setback for women and progressives, notwithstanding its watershed nature.
Since then, the Democratic primary race has heated up. Her lead this year is 45 to 1.
An Associated Press survey found that five of the state’s nine superdelegates have pledged their support to Clinton, who is seeking the party’s nomination over U.S. Sen. At the time, Obama had 63 and a handful of other candidates had commitments as well from the smaller fraction of superdelegates willing to commit to a candidate. All three of the candidates talked about Black Lives Matter, but Hilary understands that she will probably lose the election if Blacks stay home and don’t vote. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), he appears to be making strides. “It’s pretty simple”, said superdelegate Fred Hudson.
While just six percent of Democrats believe that Clinton’s committed an illegal crime through the use of a private email server, 40 percent of Democrats believe she acted unethical in a few way.
“If it boils down to anything I’m not sure about the trust factor”, said Danica Oparnica, a DNC member from Arizona. Clinton’s testimony won widespread praise as House Republicans struggled to trip her up.
As the Democrats prepare for the upcoming debate, the NY Times/CBS News poll makes one thing clear.
