JC Penney opts to open earlier on turkey day this year

REI’s decision to go dark on Black Friday doesn’t mean there aren’t good deals to be found from the outfitter.

The company said Monday that all of its deals will be offered online Thanksgiving morning, but it’ll open stores for the “millions of families who make Black Friday in-store shopping part of their tradition”. Other noteworthy deals include $12.99 for an 18-piece glass storage set, A 5-quart KitchenAid mixer for $299 (originally priced at $500), $30 wearable fitness trackers and $10 memory foam pillows.

“Wristbands for in-demand products will once again be handed out for popular items like the HP Laptop, 55″ Hisense Smart HDTV and RCA 8” Tablet, so customers know when a product is no longer available.

Overall, Walmart has backed away from the deals frenzy of years past, announcing last month that it would be focusing more on offering discounts all season instead of sprinkling them throughout November and December.
