Ridley Scott: Prometheus sequels will reveal who created the Aliens
It was previously reported that “Prometheus” was getting three follow-up movies and the final one would be connected to 1979’s “Alien”. “This was a call to duty, really, to reexamine and resurrect the Alien, if I could”, Scott said to Variety in a recent interview. “I’m gradually getting to Alien 1”, he said.
For sometime now, the director has been discussing how his continuation from Prometheus will sync back up with Alien, even suggesting at one point that it would take four movies (counting Prometheus) to get there. “Who would make such a terrible thing?”
For the past two months, there was a strong hush-hush reason why Neill Blompkamp’s Alien sequel wasn’t firing on all cylinders, and now that reason is becoming all too transparent: Ridley Scott. We can hope that, Ridley Scott will come out with a much better explanation as to from where these terrifying aliens originated.
It was back in 2012 when Prometheus hit the big screen and went on to be both a box office success and a critical hit. His credits include “Gladiator”, “The Last Samurai”, “Sweeney Todd”, “Rango”, “Skyfall”, and the still-showing “Spectre”.
Jack Paglen and Michael Green submitted earlier drafts for the film, scheduled to open on May 30, 2017. Brace yourselves for John Logan’s version of Alien: Paradise Lost.
Scott expressed regret for letting the original franchise get away from him following the first film, “Alien”, in 1979.
It has been confirmed that Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace would be back as the humanoid robot David and Dr. Elizabeth Shaw respectively in “Paradise Lost”.
