YouTube Launches Its Music App On iOS And Android
According to a recent disclosure on the Beats Music support webpage, Apple is phasing out the Beats Music service this month.
Apart from this app, Apple also offers the Beats and Move to iOS applications for Android users. Along with the sections dedicated to watching or listening to previous music selections, there’s a “mixtape” option that lets you pick 20 audio tracks to save to your device.
With so much music content on YouTube, a dedicated app definitely makes a lot of sense.
Today’s launch is aimed at helping artists, sure, but also giving fans who turn to YouTube to discover music a new app designed exactly for that.
Apple Music will be the company’s only streaming music service.
Apple recently announced its first Android app in the form of Apple Music beta.
“All the pros that curated music for you are still crafting more awesome experiences”, Beats executive Dale Bagwell wrote in an announcement.
YouTube, the world’s largest and most popular online video streaming service has started rolling out a new app, YouTube Music on Android and iOS. Beats founders Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine later joined the Apple family and helped develop Apple Music. This is a great way for discovering new music, that you will likely like.
The app also recommends music videos based on its users priorities while also the newly launched music videos will be showed on the home screen of the app.
It seems a little odd that YouTube Music will be competing with Google Play Music, created by YouTube’s parent company.
YouTube Music has all the same tracks as its competitors, and users can listen to whole albums and single songs like anywhere else.
