Tom Cruise is ‘freaking out’ over Leah Remini’s Scientology slam
He remains a staunch supporter and credits them with helping him get over his dyslexia, although recent rumors have said that the Church doesn’t even allow him to see daughter Suri since she is seen as a “suppressive person” after Cruise and Holmes divorced. During the interview, Remini candidly spoke about the Church’s most famous name, Tom Cruise, and admitted that to those in the church, if you speak out against Cruise, you are undoubtedly “evil”.
Remini, former co-star on the television hit “King of Queens”, recalled that she whispered in Cruise’s ear in an attempt to calm him down.
Spokespeople for the Church of Scientology have vehemently denied all of the assertions Leah has made in her book and during interviews.
“Tom seemed like a child who had never been told no”, Remini wrote, according to Us Weekly.
If reports are to be believed, the actor is said to be “freaking out” over the revelations contained in Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, which include claims that Suri Cruise was left lying on a bathroom floor, and incident over cookie dough, and that he insisted Remini engage in a game of hide-and-seek.
“Being critical of Tom Cruise is being critical of Scientology itself”, said Remini accorting to Celebrity Insider website
The 45-year-old star, who publicly split from the church in 2013, went on to say she started to have second thoughts about Scientology at Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding in 2006, adding that the church tried to recruit her friends Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony at the event. “They were bringing down Scientology”. “I hope one day he can live his life”.
In a statement on its website, the Church of Scientology says: “Sadly, bitterness and anger are common threads through Ms. Remini’s life”.
The Church of Scientology meanwhile has officially disputed all of Remini’s allegations.
