Sanders and Clinton, along with former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, will face off in the next Democratic debate Saturday, November 14 at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Clinton’s answer stands in contrast to her move left to match avowed Democratic socialist Bernie Sanders on major issues such as the Keystone XL pipeline, trade, and same-sex marriage.
Clinton’s town hall meeting included questions about how she might tackle the threat posed by Islamic State militants if she becomes commander in chief.
Touted as the first primary in the South and the first true test of Democrats’ ability to draw enthusiasm from a critical segment of their base, the Palmetto State will play host to Clinton, Vermont Sen.

Clinton, who attributed Roosevelt as saying “states are the laboratories of democracy”, commented that she wants to see how the state plans work before a national plan is implemented by the federal government. “When I am running for office, it is a bit different”.
Clinton’s proposal will seek to address long wait times and mismanagement at the VA, according to a preview provided by a Clinton campaign aide. “Make no mistake. Today, not a single Republican candidate-announced or potentia-is clearly and consistently supporting a path to citizenship”.
Sanders has had trouble nationally putting a dent in Clinton’s advantage among African-Americans, a dynamic that could pave the way for her nomination given black voters’ strong influence in SC and other Southern primaries that dominate the opening stretch of the 2016 primary calendar.
Standing next to Clinton as she signed the paperwork was Dick Swett, former congressman from New Hampshire; Jim Demers, President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign co-chairman; Susan Lynch, former New Hampshire first lady; Bill Shaheen, Democratic Sen.
