A Celtic Manor spokesman said the difference in pay was due to the fact they would perform “very different roles” at the Christmas Kingdom event.

The roles demand applicants have similar skills – asking for job-seekers who have previous acting experience and have worked with children in the past. Reservations are required to visit Santa in advance.
