Former Manchester United winger David Beckham: Ryan Giggs was a ‘special’ player
Former Manchester United veteran Beckham will be the team captain.
Money raised from ticket sales for the match, which kicks off at 15:00 GMT, will be donated to children’s charity Unicef.
Beckham has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for over 10 years, and to mark his 10th year with the charity, the 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund was set up.
South Korean former footballer Park Ji Sung has been invited to play in the UNICEF’s Match for Children, which will take place on November 14 at Old Trafford, United Kingdom.
Great Britain and Ireland All-Stars will play against the Rest of the World team in the exhibition match.
Speaking highly on Ryan Giggs Beckham posted, “When I watched Giggsy as a young player, he was truly something special”. Sadly, as he is on global duty with the Republic of Ireland.
The former Red Devil will be hosting a charity match at Old Trafford on Saturday, and Ronaldinho will be a guest at the event, along with many other legendary names.
