Did you spot this ‘Friends’ mistake in The One with The Mugging?

In an episode titled “The One With the Mugging”, Jordan D’Amico spotted an unfamiliar face where a very familiar one should have been.

The unusual “mistake” was spotted by a blogger at RecentlyHeard.com during their recent Netflix inspired power hour.

This appears in “The One With Rachel’s Date” (Season 8, Episode 5), watch the scene below.

During the beginning of the episode, Jennifer Aniston (aka Rachel Green) and Matt LeBlanc (aka Joey Tribbiani) go visit Monica Geller (played by Courteney Cox ) in her kitchen to talk about Joey’s exciting new audition. But that set-up isn’t as important as what happens next. But someone else is!

There’s many a reason Jen could have been replaced – stand-ins are often recruited when the pros aren’t available for filming, but said scenes are usually cut and edited so that only the real Rachel makes it to the final scene.

Rachel runs over to Monica’s apartment to tell Joey that he has got an audition with a famous actor. Yeah, we wouldn’t have believed it either, but if you take a look, she’s hardly in the shot but visible.

During a back-and-forth, the camera returns to Joey and for a brief moment, we see Aniston’s smiling double standing behind him.

A few might say that his is common in the television world, but what we don’t understand is why she wasn’t wearing the same outfit?
