The finance site WalletHub used U.S Census Bureau data and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services information to look at changes in the rate of uninsured residents, by state, after the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, or “Obamacare”.
The EBRI report also sheds light on what types of workers were most likely to gain insurance through PPACA.

In all, 543,098 people selected plans for 2016 on HealthCare.gov in the first week, which began November An unknown number signed up on the other 13 Obamacare exchanges run by individual states and the District of Columbia. The black unemployment rate was about 9.5 percent at the end of June 2015, while the Hispanic rate was 6.6 percent. Among all people, the uninsured rate dropped to 12 percent from 15.4 percent.
While Oklahoma has the fifth-highest overall uninsured rate in WalletHub’s analysis, it has the fourth-highest uninsured rate among low-income households and the fourth-largest gap between low- and high-income households. That ranks DE as the state with the fourteenth smallest disparity between low- and high-income uninsured residents.
