San Francisco tour bus crash leaves 20 injured
She said the incident started around 3 p.m. local time.
The license for the company that operates the bus, City Sightseeing, was revoked in 2013, according to the Chronicle.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – The latest on a double-decker tour bus that crashed in San Francisco’s Union Square. The critically injured have been taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
As of this writing, the police are investigating the crash and don’t know what caused it. There’s additional information in the video below.
Six people were in critical condition, 12 were transported to area hospitals with various injuries and two were treated on the scene, said San Francisco Police Sgt. Michael Andraychak.
Officer Albie Esparza says one of those fighting for life is the biker.

The out-of-control bus ran down a bicyclist, two pedestrians and struck several cars before it plowed into scaffolding lining a construction site. The scaffolding collapsed onto the sidewalk.
The severely injured included the two pedestrians and the cyclist, as well as the bus driver, tour guide, and two people in two different cars, Hayes-White told The San Francisco Chronicle.
At least six had sustained life-threatening injuries, a hospital spokesman told the paper.
The bus knocked down several power lines used to propel the city’s electrical buses.
At least one vehicle got pinned under the bus.
She said one rider who was on top of the open air level of the double decker bus was critically injured and had to be removed by firefighters.
