Senior democrat calls for more military action against ISIS
Neither Catholic Charities nor government agencies reached by WDSU on Saturday could provide updated figures, but Gov. Bobby Jindal sent a letter to the president following the Paris attacks demanding information regarding the program and suggesting that more refugees arrived in the past few weeks. It will not be deterred by targeted airstrikes with zero tolerance for civilian casualties, when the terrorists have such utter disregard for innocent life. The extremists claimed responsibility on Saturday. It does emphasise that we are engaged in a war.
Bruce Riedel, a former senior Central Intelligence Agency expert on the region who has advised Obama, said the string of recent attacks had put to rest once and for all the debate whether Islamic State would stay focused on the war in Iraq and Syria.

The Paris attacks, coming so soon after the deadly shootings at Charlie Hebdo, the French satirical newspaper, in January will force U.S. analysts to review their assumptions about the potential threat at home.
In remarks from the White House shortly after the attacks Obama said, “We’re going to do whatever it takes to work with the French people and with nations around the world to bring these terrorists to justice, and to go after any terrorist networks that go after our people”.
“I am angry. Angry that just yesterday morning, hours before the Paris attacks began and against all the evidence, President Obama declared ISIS “contained” and took a victory lap”, Fiorina said, according to a transcript.

And amid reports that a Syrian migrant was among the bombers, candidates called for greater border security, escalating strikes on ISIS in Iraq and Syria, and limiting the number of Syrian refugees the United States admits annually.
Sir Gerald said it was “illogical” for British air strikes to be restricted to Isil targets in Iraq when the jihadists’ headquarters and other bases were in Syria.
What do you think of the Republicans’ response to the tragic attacks?
“They will attack us anyway, whether we go for them or not”.
IS had been on the defensive this week, facing losses to US-backed Kurdish fighters around the town of Sinjar in Iraqi Kurdistan, increased bombing from Russian Federation and the reported death of one of its most infamous executioners, Jihadi John.
But the worries should be balanced against a realization that the overwhelming majority of refugees are fleeing the very terrorism we ourselves fear. And European settlers who wanted to keep Algeria part of France carried out attacks in the early 1960’s, including attempts to assassinate President Charles de Gaulle.
“Because when terrorists are capable of committing such atrocities they must be certain that they are facing a determined France, a united France, a France that is together and does not let itself be moved, even if today we express infinite sorrow”.
