Will the GOP Base Tolerate Donald Trump’s Attack on Ben Carson?
The Donald doubled down on his immigration stance on a CNN appearance and then used a few VERY strong words to blast Ben Carson. trump told the network that Carson’s self described “pathological temper” he outlined in his autobiography GIFTED HANDS can’t be cured and like the sickness of a child molester.
During the rally Thursday night in Fort Dodge, Trump told the crowd that “Carson’s an enigma to me” and questioned story after story in Carson’s biography.
The Friday the 13th-themed ad opens with Carson recounting his attempt to stab a friend as a teen as eerie music reminiscent of the classic horror film “Halloween” plays in the background. In that sense, Carson’s aides believe Carson himself doesn’t have to react because the media will do his work for him.
This isn’t something that I’m saying, like “Oh, he’s pathological liar”. “We need more welders and less philosophers”.
Trump, brushing aside any recent claims of civility, has equated Carson’s childhood “pathological temper” to the illness of a child molester, questioned his religious awakening and berated voters who support the retired neurosurgeon. It’s really something for Trump to tell them that they’re morons as he tries to win them over.
Williams said Trump “cannot fathom” how anyone could be doing better than him in the Republican race. Okay. If you’re a child molester, a sick puppy, you’re a child molester, there’s no cure for that.
In his free-wheeling appearance, Trump also said Florida Sen. You don’t cure these people. While Trump was in the lead all summer, Carson gained a short advantage beginning in mid-October. Reporter: Carson’s spokesman dismissed it as a reaction to Carson’s standing in the polls saying, quote, Mr. Trump has resentment when he sees Dr. Carson rise.
Trump had appeared exhausted Thursday and arrived unusually late for the event in Iowa – his fourth state in as many days. Marco Rubio, who is rising in the polls, was “weak like a baby, like a baby” and “not a good poker player because every time he’s under pressure he starts to just profusely sweat”.
“Lo and behold! It hit the belt”.
Carson said he later had an epiphany and became the famously soft-spoken man he is today.
“Give me a break, the knife broke”, he said. “Belt buckles aren’t gonna stop because they can turn, they can twist… they’re not solid especially if somebody’s got a couple extra pounds on them”. “Give me a break, it doesn’t happen that way”, harrumphed Mr Trump, a dismissal that millions of Evangelicals might well take personal offence to.
