Jaguars WR Hurns questionable with foot injury

Allen Hurns has been listed as questionable by the Jags for their game in Baltimore because of a foot injury.

The pair of 2-6 teams are preparing for a game that most of the country has little interest in but could go a long way in turning their seasons around.

The Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Maryland this Sunday to take on the Baltimore Ravens in what could be a vital moment for this season.

At the very least, it’s time to put that talk about the Jaguars on hold for a while – or at least until they win a couple of games in succession.

“I think we’re going to stay within our game plan and be who we are and do what we do”, Bortles said, “but it’s definitely something that you notice watching tape, the amount of shots taken and the successful shots taken, for sure”. With that in mind, fantasy owners will likely have to wait on Hurns’ status, but Sunday’s matchup against the Ravens presents a favorable opportunity for him to continue his six-game touchdown streak if cleared to play.

“All of our guys understand that this is the game that matters”, Harbaugh said. Second-year quarterback Blake Bortles threw for 381 yards, but tossed two interceptions and fumbled twice. “[We] love our players, love the way they work, love the enthusiasm that they had today coming back and getting ready for Jacksonville”.

Of the seven receivers now on the 53-man roster, only one (Perriman) was drafted by the Ravens. Ravens are 13-6 coming off bye, 6-1 under coach John Harbaugh….

But they’ve also lost to Indianapolis backup Matt Hasselbeck, who was sick on the sideline during the game, a journeyman (Brian Hoyer), a rookie (Jameis Winston) and Fitzpatrick. Forsett hasn’t played amazingly well, but he has the ability to have a big game.

The Jaguars have a stout run defense and rank seventh in the league in that department, but teams don’t have to worry about running against them because the Jaguars have a porous pass defense. Ravens P Sam Koch will be playing in 153rd straight game, extending his team record… For now, though, the focus of Baltimore Ravens is on Jacksonville Jaguars. The Ravens have looked like a less-than-average team this season, and the injuries haven’t helped either. They have combined for 14 career catches for 155 yards and one touchdown.

Smith is the Ravens’ best cornerback, but he has struggled over parts of the season.

Hurns has 36 receptions for 635 yards and six touchdowns this season, including a go-ahead, diving, twisting, staying-in-bounds, 31-yarder with 2:16 to play against Buffalo in London last month.

The Jaguars stuffed Jets running back Chris Ivory for 26 yards on 23 carries last Sunday.
