Hindu mahasabha launches Godse website, observes Balidan Divas on November 15

The RSS ideologue said that fight of thoughts should be fought with thoughts only and killing a few one for nurturing different thoughts like Godse did was wrong.

The plans were to begin construction of the temple on January 30, the day Godse killed Mahatama Gandhi in New Delhi. In fact, they have insulted Hindutva.

BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said the BJP believes in the principles and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and considers Godse as his assassin.

They organised a program called “Shaurya Diwas” to commemorate Godse.

Senior patrons like ABHM’s national general secretary Munna Kumar Sharma, patron Ashok Sharma, Viswa Hindu Peeth’s national president Acharya Madanji, Nathuram Godse Brigade president Swami Omji, Mahasabha’s city president Bharat Rajput, district president Abhishek Aggarwal and other leaders and activists offered “ahuti” in the yagna in the presence of police officials.

Members of Sanatan Sanstha, which hit the headlines for the murder of rationalist Govind Pansare, also participated in the ceremony to eulogize Nathuram Godse.

As Godse’s effigy was burnt by Congress workers in Thane in Maharashtra, the BJP distanced itself from the right wing outfit’s programme and attacked the Congress for linking it with Godse’s death anniversary. He was sentenced to death on November 8, 1949 and was hanged on November 15 a week after he was found guilty of killing the greatest leader of the Independent India.
