HTC One X9 clearly shown in latest image leak
It’s sure been an interesting month for HTC.
Along with the phone’s specs, HTC also uploaded live pictures of the One X9, so we also know what the device looks like when it gets released. Things became odd, though, when the company bumped the phone’s price up to $499, when its debut price of $399, per most opinions, is exactly where it should have remained. After defending its latest One A9 as “not” a copy of the iPhone 6, HTC’s iteration of the same device in a larger size has been leaked on China’s TENAA agency. The One X9 looks like it could be a higher-end version of the A9.
As per the listing, the HTC One X9 will have an octa-core 2.2 GHz processor running although it was not indicated which manufacturer the chipset will come from. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory (which can be expanded up to 1TB), and packs in a 3000mAh battery.
Comparing the HTC One A9 to the flagship One M9 sibling which was released earlier in the year, TechRadar states that it is superior in a number of ways.
On the back, it has a 13 MP camera, aided by an LED flash, while the front-facing camera is using a 5 MP sensor. Dimensions are 153.mm tall, 75.9mm wide, and 7.99 thick. The device weighs only 165 grams.
The leaked Weibo image of the handset displays a BoomSound front speakers at the top and bottom. No official word is available from HTC as of the moment, but users and fans are already expecting official updates form the company following the TENAA certification of the device. The phone in TENAA’s images look a lot like the ones that we saw a couple of days ago, but today we’re getting a much clearer look at all of the One X9’s sides.
Our full review of the HTC One A9 is coming this week. Finally however, the reviewer describes the device as a “well made phone” that could stand up well to other smartphones in the market and even the iPhone lineup.
