Ronda Rousey: Defeated champion acidentally predicted her own knockout a month
Coming into the women’s bantamweight title fight matchup between Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm, most favored the undefeated champion Rousey.
Holly Holm has knocked out Ronday Rousey at the UFC 193. She even foreshadowed how Holm might knock her out.
“At the end of the day I made this fight”.
Former boxing world champion Holm has now become the first person to ever win world titles in both boxing and mixed martial arts.
Holm was the underdog, but she pretty much had Rousey’s number.
“I’ve been on the losing side before and wanted to avenge my loss”, Holm said.
“A rematch makes a lot of sense”, White said.
UFC president Dana White told reporters at the post-fight press conference that an immediate rematch is likely.
But Dolce, who was part of Rousey’s camp for the Etihad Stadium encounter, said his fighter will return a more learned athlete.
“We ripped it over and over and over and it’s always scary when someone gets into that position that they are known to finish people, but we were confident she would get out of it and she did”.
A recent cover shoot for Ring Magazine featuring Rousey was criticised by pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr, although Holm may now be awarded the same honour as she actually has a connection to boxing.
“I don’t know, I’m trying to take it all in”.
“It changes a lot of things, the “Cyborg” fight, a few other stuff we were working on”. She had appeared arrogant and was openly disrespectful towards her opponent, which did not go unnoticed by MMA fans who took to Twitter and vented their thoughts about Rousey and the result of the fight. The stunned champion tried to force her way back in the contest but found it hard to control a series of kicks, which lay down the marker for the rest of the game.
UFC brass had a different take on it and booked Rousey vs. Holm at UFC 193 instead of Tate vs. Rousey. “Obviously she’s completely bummed out and depressed”.
