NY Giants fan torched Tampa Bay Buccaneers $26000 flag; got arrested
After a long off-season of both mishap and then mystery, NY Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul made his season debut in a win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. But Pierre-Paul’s value was evident during the fourth quarter, he was able to put enough pressure on Jameis Winston to make the rookie quarterback rush several throws with the Bucs in catch-up mode. But instead of moving inside the NY 35-yard line, the Bucs had to punt for the first time all game. “He was at his best in the last drive”, Coughlin said, noting the Pierre-Paul’s superb conditioning was a factor.
The Patriots are 8-0 and putting together one of those beat-us-if-you-dare seasons, where winning the AFC East is a mere formality, gaining the No. 1 seed in the AFC only a matter of time and the only real drama is whether they can match their 2007 results and finish the regular season 16-0. In his much anticipated return, Jason Pierre-Paul had two tackles and two quarterback hits. “I understand that me being a franchise player, I have to do more”. Early in the fourth quarter, Pierre-Paul broke through the offensive line and forced Winston to roll to his right, but he outsprinted the defense and spectacularly leapt over Giants safety Brandon Meriweather by the goal-line pylon for a 10-yard touchdown. “We’ve just got to continue to build as a team and get better each and every week to remain there”. He took three snaps on defense Sunday in Tampa Bay and one the previous week in New Orleans.
The 23-year-old Jacobs joined New York’s practice squad two months ago following his release from the Baltimore Ravens. “If it was up to me, I would have never come out”.
“I don’t know what it is”.
I was sitting in bed (Monday morning) thinking this his frustration level I have with myself right now feels like what I had during my first and second year in the league. Moore made an interception on the first play of the game.
It was a good, not great performance by the Giants, but as the saying goes, a win’s a win. If you’re in need of a late waiver add, or a desperation play, I’ll go through a few of my favorites for this week below.
Since throwing four interceptions in an October 4 loss to the Carolina Panthers, Winston has thrown four touchdown passes with no interceptions.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection, who signed a contract extension last season that could be worth more than $95 million, has four tackles and no sacks over the past three games.
Giants star Eli Manning called him a “presence” on the field. “He was a presence”, Manning added. He played stand-up defensive end seven times, including the only snap he took at left end, and took two snaps as a defensive tackle.
‘He was definitely disruptive today, ‘ Manning said.
