Heightened security at world’s busiest airport after attacks in Paris
High tensions after the attacks could be seen at airports across Europe on Saturday.
The two chose to cut the night short and head back to their Paris hotel.
Another passenger, 57, who declined to give her name, said she didn’t fully understand what was happening in France, but still wanted to go there.
“I lived in Paris for a year when I was a student and I have people I know there”.
There was a few question as to whether the 29 routes, which require stops in other USA cities before continuing on to Charles de Gaulle Airport near Paris, would be delayed or cancelled because of the attacks, which killed dozens in the European city.
“We have canceled Flight 48 this evening from Dallas Fort Worth global Airport to Charles de Gaulle worldwide Airport, and we are working to re-accommodate those passengers”, the spokesman stated.
“Oh my gosh, we left Beirut at 2 a.m. watching CNN and I said ‘Oh, my God”.
Ten tour groups from Hong Kong with a total of about 250 people were now in Paris and all have reported they are safe, said Joseph Tung Yao-chung, Travel Industry Council executive director.
“The Port Authority police are on heightened alert at all of the agency’s bridge, tunnel, rail, World Trade Center and other facilities following today’s tragic attacks in Paris”, Buccino said.
She said: “Of course people were anxious and concerned and wanted to get home”.
A statement from Air France this morning read: “We confirm that all of our upcoming flights from/to France are maintained following the events that occurred in Paris area on November 13. I was very anxious to be stuck in Paris and I was really anxious to be in the airport in Paris honestly”, Vogel said. “You just can’t predict things like this, it is so terrible”.
