Aamir Khan takes a break from ‘Dangal’ shoot after shoulder injury
It seems the shooting of Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Dangal is taking a toll on the actor’s health.
On the incident, a source has been quoted by a publication saying, “Aamir had been filming a long action sequence that required multiple takes from different angles”.
Initially the film unit thought that there was no problem for Aamir. He couldn’t even stand up. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Aparshakti Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh among others and is slated to release on December 23, 2016. The actor’s spokesperson said that Aamir Khan was rushed to the nearby hospital and it was diagnosed that he was having severe shoulder injury.
However, Aamir’s injury has brought the shoot to a halt as the superstar has been advised rest for a couple of days. Sultan is based on a real life story of Haryana-based wrestler Sultan Ali Khan, whereas Dangal is based on the life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat. The shoot in village Gujjarwal was cancelled for the day immediately and he was taken for a medical check up.
Since it was Diwali time, his wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao and son Azad were with him in Ludhiana, when the injury struck.
The actor has been undergoing rigorous training in the Haryanvi dialect and wrestling for four hours daily since April. He had earlier revealed that he would film all his sequences as the 60-yearold Phogat, moving back to the wrestler’s younger days.
