National Football League will factor color blindness into future “Color Rush” games

In the last drive of the game for the Jets still down by only 5, they managed to get down to the 4-yard line.

The NFL’s Thursday Night Football marked the return of Rex Ryan to his former home field, as he led the Buffalo Bills to a victory over his old team, the NY Jets.

While it’s not like Rex to gloat, the coach was positively beaming in his postgame press conference, calling out and bantering with NY reporters by name, and several times exhaling as if he’d just finished an exceptional tiramisu. It was the first game action of any kind for Ridley since October 12, 2014, when he suffered ACL and MCL injuries while playing for the New England Patriots.

“Just a tad breezy out there”.

The win for Buffalo pushes them to a 5-4 record, tied with the Jets, while also hurting New York’s playoff hopes.

The Jets squandered another opportunity after a botched snap on a Buffalo punt attempt gave them the ball at the Bills’ 13-yard line with just more than five minutes remaining. Prior to the game, the Bills were 16th in the National Football League in takeaways.

Watkins had a low output from a statistical standpoint (3 catches, 14 yards), but, was consistently getting open against one of the league’s top cornerbacks – and the coaching staff took notice. Look, the Jets right now are a helluva football team. This should be lovely music to NY Jets’ fans, as he will be a necessary weapon if the Jets are going to make a run over the final seven games.

It was a busy day for the NY Jets in the operating room. The NY Jets, the number one red zone team entering the game, put up no points. Players have off until Tuesday of next week.

I understand why Bowles went for it, but in hindsight, he probably should have kicked the field goal.

When the Bills closed out the game with a Bacarri Rambo interception – what a tremendous game he had with two forced fumbles in addition to the pick – Ryan started to act as if he had won the Super Bowl and was elected to the Hall of Fame at the same moment.

“Yeah, it’s EJ Manuel”. There’s no doubt. EJ’s our guy. But NY didn’t complete the rest of the formula, as it was unable to force a single turnover – all the while, having four turnovers itself.
