DC Gregg Williams defends Joyner hit, and rightfully so
The Minnesota Vikings will have Teddy Bridgewater at the helm when they attempt to extend their winning streak to five games against the host Oakland Raiders on Sunday. The Bears stop unit was supposed to be at a “compete with the elites” level this year, highlighted by a massive defensive line loaded with future National Football League prospects and a strong, veteran secondary. The Raiders are 2-2 at home, but the two losses came against the Broncos and Bengals – teams with a combined 15-1 record. The over/under total for the game has been set at 44 points. I only counted the Lions once in both of those calculations even though the Vikings have beaten them twice. “Those are things we can correct and things that aren’t like us as a defence”. The Vikings are 6-2 and are a well-rounded team which grinds it out on offense, and is fundamentally sound on defense.
Bridgewater practiced Friday and Zimmer says he has “no doubt” he would be ready to play. No team is allowing more passing yards per game than Oakland (315).
Fisher wants Joyner to keep playing the way he’s been playing, and Joyner plans to do just that.
Teddy Bridgewater isn’t the only one that had their status for Sunday’s contest up in the air. “Right now, we’re just trying to compile as many wins together and add them up at the end of the year”. However, after the Raiders second ranked (at the time) run defense gave up over one hundred yards rushing to a back up running back in Pittsburg what’s going to be interesting is seeing what defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. has game planned. Plus, Oklahoma’s “Flavor of the Week’ nature after pounding four weaklings have left them a good notch or two overvalued against a superior squad”.
“I was watching the lions and hyenas go at it”, Joyner said. Carrie has returned 17 punts this season for 6.8 yards per return with a long return of 22 yards.
“Having Adrian is a big bonus for our offensive team, but it does make at times the quarterback position a little more hard because you don’t get as many chances”, Turner said. Rick Mirer completed only nine passes, but the Raiders were able to win 28-18. Many of these completions have come courtesy of Rookie Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs, who is having himself an Odell Beckham Jr.-esque season so far. On the other side of the field, coming into week 10, the Raiders boast the AFC leading rusher, Latavius Murray who has 630 yards this season. “So, I’m just going to continue to get better so I can stay”.
