Boston-Bound Flight Briefly Evacuated Due To ‘Suspicious’ Passengers
No charges have been filed, according to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police.
All passengers were deplaned while a K9 team swept the aircraft.
The team didn’t experience any abnormalities and the plane will depart to Boston soon.
American Airlines did not elaborate on the behavior that spurred the crew’s suspicions. They report this to the airline, which requests that all passengers deplane.
Sources tell 7News two men were removed from a flight bound for Boston’s Logan Airport after passengers reported the men were acting suspiciously.
The Post said, “it was not clear what brought the two to the crew’s attention”, but did mention “heightened security concerns” after Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris. MWAA operates National and Dulles worldwide Airports.
Flight-tracking data said the airplane left National at 5:30 p.m., two hours after its scheduled departure.
