State police investigating death of man in Bethany

Authorities have identified a New Haven man who was found dead in Bethany.

State police and the medical examiner’s office are investigating the death of a man found in Bethany. The OCME will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine cause and manner of death.

Police say they got a call around 4:30 a.m. from witnesses walking in the area on Wooding Hill Road near Hoadley.

Police said they did search the area for other victims, but none were located.

Trooper First Class Kelly Grant said detectives from the Central District Major Crime are investigating an untimely death on Wooding Hill Road.
