GasBuddy Says $2 Per Gallon Gas Possible Soon
AAA estimated that drivers are now saving an average of $11 per full tank of gas compared to this time past year.
Just in time for the holiday season, gas prices have been tumbling across Minnesota and in the metro area have dipped below $2 per gallon for regular unleaded.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular shed four cents over the past seven days – closing the week at $2.15.
Although OH typically has a sawtooth pattern when it comes to gasoline prices, prices have been consistently low and could be headed lower.
The savings at the pump don’t guarantee more people will hit the roads. “U.S. oil production is among the highest it’s ever been”.
But that’s much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.76.
They credit weak demand and strong USA oil production for the low prices.
Gas was reportedly selling for $1.90 in Franklin and $1.89 in a few parts of Greene County.
