Girl, 7, found dead in creek
A 7-year-old girl was found dead in a creek 25 minutes after she was reported missing at a football game.
A search began immediately and it was reported to the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green at 8:05 pm that her body had been located in a creek in a wooded area behind the Allen County High School.
Kentucky State Police said Gabriella Doolin disappeared from Allen County High School in Scottsville, a town around 66 miles north of Nashville, NBC News reported.
Her cause of death is unknown, but cops say they are treating her death as a homicde.
Investigators say the stadium announcer called her name after her parents lost sight of her. After the third call, the game actually stopped and the community starting searching for the 7-year-old.
Police said they have no suspects or persons of interest in the case. “All I want to do is hold my baby”, said Brian Doolin, Gabrielle’s father.
“I love her with all my heart”.
A prayer vigil has been held for Gabreilla in Scotsville, where she lived and a Facebook page has been set up to raise money for her grieving family.
