Walmart reveals 2015 Black Friday deals

Opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

But what’s there to expect from Walmart as it gears up for Black Friday 2015?

Target has started doing just that with its cartwheel app. nearly as soon as shoppers get in the parking lot, coupons will pop up on their phone. The chain recently launched global shipping in over 200 countries. It said it would make all deals available from the start, rather than staggering them as it has done in the past.

Toys ” R”Us / Babies ” R”UsThe store already rolled out its hallmark “Great Big Toys ” R”Us Book of Awesome” on October 26 featuring 96 pages of toys.

In the past, this staple deal lured a large number of customers into physical stores on the lookout for the latest and best deals offered the whole evening. Sister store Babies ” R”Us is hosting special holiday events for parents and babies on select Saturdays in November.

But it’s also a game plan that can confuse and frustrate customers who must cut their holiday short, devise specific shopping strategies to make sure they nab an item, deal with huge crowds and risk items selling out, says Steve Bratspies, Walmart’s chief merchandising officer. We’ll be left with 365 days of unrelenting darkness, in which all is lost in a frenzy of lines, tickets, and deals on consumer electronics, and we pray only to a new pantheon of gods that includes Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart. Perhaps an even bigger change, though, is that nearly all of Walmart’s sales will be available online first, starting at 3 a.m. EST Thanksgiving day.

“This is no Black Friday”. Those sales typically include both Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday so that way I can check them off the list and can concentrate on the department stores, mall, and other retailers on Black Friday. Hours vary by location. This year Walmart is making a bigger effort to avoid the disappointment that comes with limited quantity Black Friday deals. This year, the company has announced it will pay employees on Black Friday not to work with customers, but to get outside to play.
