Weapons Missing From Armory in Worcester, Massachusetts, After Break
The spokesperson said there is no indication that the theft of weapons from the armory is connected with any kind of terrorist threat.
FBI is investigating a break in at the U.S. Army Reserve Facility in Worcester.
Several weapons, including possibly a few automatic rifles, were stolen from an Army Reserve facility this weekend in MA, according to news reports.
Additionally, the missing weapons have been listed in the NCIC database. It includes a recruiting office and is the meeting place of the Worcester Cadet Squadron.
She said that “every effort will be made to recover these weapons immediately”.
“The more opportunity people have to rely on citizenry to serve as the eyes and ears, the more it makes a difference”, Baker said. “Federal, state and local law enforcement authorities have been alerted”.
Meanwhile, in light of the recent Paris attacks, Baker also downplayed the possibility this incident was linked to terrorism.
“Nothing at this point in time would tie this to any specific threat or anything else at this point”, special agent Hank Shaw told the media at a press conference on Sunday.
